Flying Area

Take off from the top of Mount Telomoyo is thrilling experience. Beautiful scenery combine with cliff launch makes it an unforgettable experience. Take off site is 1898 meter above sea level and landing site is 470 meter above sea level. Take off site is facing to North East, and the nearest landing area is about 6,5 km from the take off point. From Mount Telomoyo pilots can fly over Salatiga city, the rice paddy field surrounding around Rawapening lake, coffee plantation, Ambarawa city and even to Mount Ungaran which located around 20 km from Mount Telomoyo. 

In a good weather condition, cloud base surrounding Telomoyo could reach 2700-3000 meter above sea level. The longest distance of hang gliding flight that took from Mount Telomoyo was 100 km, as the task in Telomoyo Cup in 2019. Due to the condition of the take off site, only hang gliding is allowed to take off from Mount Telomoyo, while paragliding takes off from mount Gajah Telomoyo.
